Wedding photography in the South East of England
I’m Daniel Smith and I am passionate about photography. I cannot remember a time that I wasn’t taking photos and I tend to take my camera everywhere I go. However, I particularly enjoy wedding photography as I find it so satisfying to capture special moments, in the knowledge that you and your loved ones will use them to remember a fantastic day for many years to come. It is a role I feel very lucky to be able to fulfil.

I started wedding photography a few years back when two dear friends asked me to photograph their wedding. I was only too happy to do this for them, but didn’t imagine at this time that it would be something I would ever make a career of. I found it very easy to put people at ease, capture natural shots and shoot their day just as they wanted it. Their reactions to the end product and praise made me realise that this is what I wanted to do.

It is a great responsibility to shoot a wedding and not one I take lightly.

There is nothing quite like presenting a newly married couple with a set of beautiful pictures, and something I would be very happy to do for you as well.
“To photograph: it is to put on the same line of sight the head, the eye and the heart.”
Henri Carter-Bresson

Who to choose as your wedding photographer is perhaps the most important decision you will make in relation to your wedding – apart from choosing the identity of your spouse perhaps! Your photographs should be a nostalgic reminder of one of the most important days of your life, and will serve as a lifetime reminder of your magical day. Yet the cost of a wedding can easily escalate, and so I pride myself that my prices reflect only the work I put into the wedding day itself and then the time I take to edit and prepare your photo package.
A lot of photographers have their own style and that’s fine, but I aim to capture your wedding how you want it photographed, whether that be natural, classical, formal, reportage, creative or quirky. I want you to be able to look at your pictures in times to come and relive the romance of your wedding, evoking the feelings and memories of your day.
My prices are not fixed and so serve as a guide to cost, and as every wedding is different I would encourage you to contact me so that I can quote you a price that covers everything you want. From here, I have found that the best way to discuss in more detail what you require and for me to gain an understanding of your personalities is to meet in person so that we can get a feel of the type of shots you would like, and exchange ideas together.
Not everyone is a performer and enjoys being in front of a camera, so if you feel it would be of benefit to you I am happy to include as an additional part of your package a session before your wedding day to practice shots so that you are more relaxed and feel more natural in front of the camera on the day
I take great pleasure in delivering my packages to the couples I work with in a timely fashion. As such I aim to get them to you within 15 working days of your big day. Wedding photography on average costs a couple around 12 percent of their wedding budget, and so I believe that you should not have to wait up to 6 months for your images
